The Best D*** Frosting Everr!

Wow, I really have been slacking off! It has been forever since I posted a post. How aweful of me!
School is about to start, just one day left to enjoy.
I will be going into grade 11, I am excited!
This year I am going to get homework done on time & have some fun too!
Cross country will start right away and soon skating will start as well.
I will have to balance school, a job, riding my horse and skating!!!
I'll let you know how that goes....
Anyways, I have been super busy.
Aren't we always??
Helmet a little big???
I just wanted to share a recipe with you that I fell in LOVE with!!
I hate frosting!!! why? it's overpoweringly sweet & I hate the taste of icing sugar.
Here is an easy light & creamy frosting recipe :)
Not healthy tho...but so tasty!

THE BEST DAMN FROSTING EVERR!

  • 5 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar (not Powdered Sugar!)

  • In a small saucepan, whisk flour into milk and heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens. You want it to be very thick, thicker than cake mix, more like a brownie mix is. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature. (If I’m in a hurry, I place the saucepan over ice in the sink for about 10 minutes or so until the mixture cools.) It must be completely cool before you use it in the next step. Stir in vanilla.
While the mixture is cooling, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. You don’t want any sugar graininess left. Then add the completely cooled milk/flour/vanilla mixture and beat the living daylights out of it. If it looks separated, you haven’t beaten it enough! Beat it until it all combines and resembles whipped cream.

(It is so FRIGGIN YUMMY!! I actually ate it out of the bowl with a spoon....lol )

Update>> I have been working  a lot at Tim Hortons & riding my horse, so I am not sitting on my but all day...
I have been snacking and snacking like crazy!!! & eating way tooo much vanilla ice cream. Once school starts that should change.
